The scope of influence of the IS terrorist group (ISIS, ISIL or Daesh) is expanding, Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Dec.11.
He pointed out that the IS militants have taken control of around 70 percent of Syria’s territory, TASS news agency reported.
"The number of terrorists nears 60,000 people,” the minister added.
