State Security, Foreign Intelligence services created

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on Dec.14 to create the State Security Service and Foreign Intelligence Service of Azerbaijan.

Both services were created under the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan.
 
According to the decree, the State Security Service and the Foreign Intelligence Service are due to submit to the President of Azerbaijan a draft regulation, proposals on the structure and number of employees.
 
The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to ensure the financing of these services from the funds provided in the state budget for 2015/16 and resolve the issues of logistic services.
 
Under other decrees signed by President Ilham Aliyev on Dec.14, Madat Guliyev was appointed the chief of the State Security Service and Orkhan Aslanov the chief of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
