Dunyamin Khalilov, a former member of the Azerbaijani Milli Mejlis (parliament), has been arrested.
Some time ago, the Baku’s Narimanov district court chose a measure of restraint in the form of arrest against Khalilov, who was detained on suspicion of the criminal case launched by the Interior Ministry’s Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, law-enforcement authorities told APA on Tuesday.
The former MP was brought to the Baku detention facility on Feb. 20, APA has learned.
The former MP’s name is also mentioned in the case of the International Bank of Azerbaijan.
Khalilov, who is also the owner of Globus Plaza, is accused of fraud.
